To start off I was at a Beach Boys concert on august 21st. The concert was great. I give the performances a 10 out of 10. Even though Mike Love the lead singer is 68 years old he had a fantastic stage presence. Mike was dancing around on stage and his voice sounded just as good as when they first started the band. The sound quality of the concert was great the singers sounded just as good as they do in the albums if not better, but the drums drowned out the voices just a little bit. The band brought a great light system with them that really complemented the mood of the concert. I was really surprised how high some of the beach boys could sing. The vibrancy of the concert was amazing. The band members were pulling people up on stage during one of the songs. The security tried to stop people from getting close to the stage and dancing but eventually the crowd won the battle. Everyone was getting into the music, someone who particularly caught my eyes was an elderly woman who had a walker, was standing up, and bobbing her body up and down. Some people inflated a couple of beach balls and everybody was hitting them around. There were also a couple interesting people who were up close to the stage wearing floaties and one of the guys was wearing a bikini top. I have to admit it was kinda scary. Also mike would sign things that people held up to him while he was singing. At the end of thee concert the band came back for one encore with three songs. After that the guitarist handed out pics and the drummer handed out drum sticks.
